Tech Tourney Open Breaks Fundraising Record

May 17th, 2007 was a great day: San Diego’s May Gray plague lifted, 112 golfers enjoyed the spectacular views and greens at Maderas Golf Club, and High Tech High Foundation’s most successful golf tournament to date generated over $54,000 in net proceeds. Read More

Four educators from Malaysia’s Ministry of Education, Educational Technology Division, visited High Tech High for a three-week residency from June 11 through June 29. Read More

HTH Chula Vista and HTM Media Arts Teachers Win Grants

Two HTH teachers have won $10,000 awards from BP (Arco Gasoline stations) for projects in alternative energy. Ted Cuevas, math-science teacher at High Tech High Chula Vista, will work on alternative energy projects with 9th graders. Read More

Maritime Museum Hosts HTH Book Party

The San Diego Maritime Museum hosted a gala publication party for the latest installment of the San Diego Bay Field Guide series, written by juniors at High Tech High under the guidance of Dr. Jay Vavra, Tom Fehrenbacher, and Rod Buenviaje. Read More

High Tech High Launches New PBL Web Page

High Tech High is pleased to announce the launch of a new PBL web page, containing comprehensive project descriptions prepared by HTH teachers under a two-year, $250,000 grant from the California Department of Education. In addition to the development of these materials, the project funded ongoing opportunities for partner teachers from non-charter public schools to visit High Tech High and attend professional development and training events.
